Raphaël Géminiani was a French professional cyclist between 1946 and 1960. He was known as the “great fusel”.
Among his most important successes were the Grand Prix de la Montagne, and his second and third place finishes in Tour de France (1951 and 1958). He won 7 stages of the Tour. A French Road Championship, two Grand Prix de la Montagne in the Giro d’Italia and third place in the 1955 Vuelta a España are other of his outstanding results.
In 1955, he became the first cyclist to finish all three Grand Tours in the top ten in the same season. A milestone matched only by Gastone Nencini two years later.
When he retired as a cyclist, he became a sports director. He managed Jacques Anquetil and Joaquim Agostinho, among others.
This jersey has the combination of red, white and blue, colours that remind us about the St.Raphael team. Racing the Tour de France, on the early 60’s.
